KTH-Censorship 2010 of MST Mathematical Simulation Technology:

The pretext used by KTH to censor MST (2048 pages) was that the book contained a basic mathematical model of global climate as a simple example of a mathematical model expressing some physics. The real reason was that the book offered a reform program for engineering mathematics as a synthesis of mathematics+programming = DigiMat. KTH resisted reform and still teaches engineering mathematics in classical form. Mathematics education still awaits to be reformed for the digital society. It is understandable that resistance is strong, since a synthesis of mathematics and programming gives new answers to the questions of what, how and why of math education, with the traditional answers formed long before the computer no longer functional.
