Newtonian Mechanics: Angry Birds Basic

Angry Birds is based on Newton’s Mechanics with the basic element of an angry bird launched as a bullet from a sling shot follows a path on a screen with (x,y) coordinates constructed by

  • x = x + vx* dt; y = y + vy*dt; vx = constant; vy = vy + ax*dt;

where vx and vy are velocities and ay is the acceleration in the y-direction by gravity as the rate of change of the velocity vy and dt a time step. With constant acceleration the path is a parabola.
